Recently, something inside me, I don't know what, made me start to do research via the web, to see if I could find a glimpse of the man behind the entertainer, Michael Jackson. Well, I was, to be honest, rather surprised and a bit not. I found an astute businessman; a talented & tortured artist (beyond music); an art lover (he could probably tell you the difference between the Baroque and Renaissance); an an avid reader, amongst other things. It was already known by his true friends and fans, and the world, that he is a kind, generous, loving human being who knows no barrier whether it is racial, religious or otherwise. He could see someone for who they are, on the inside. He is a wonderful philanthropist who has given a large amount of time, effort and money (over $350 millilon) to various charities around the world. No, he is not perfect, he is flawed, which I'm sure he would himself admit to. But he is a good person. What I also rediscovered is a great entertainer, a man, who has been vilified, crucified and lynched by the blatantly racist  media; whose name, character and soul has been decimated, assassinated and obliterated by the media; and hounded ceaselessly by the paparazzi. If I was a star and as big as MJ at the same time, and I rescued an abused animal from a circus or elsewhere, I'd be called an animal lover, very humane. MJ adopts Bubbles and is called weird. If I had plastic surgery, for whatever reason, it would be ok. He does it and is called a freak. No one bothers to stop and ask if he had a medical issue that required his 2 surgeries he stated he had. If I have children at my home and gave them my bed to sleep in, I'd be called very motherly, almost like Mother Theresa. MJ does it, he's called a pedophile. If I said I had vitiligo, I would be asked what it is, what does it do, etc... MJ says it, and he gets accused of trying to be white. He never clearly has tried to be anyone but himself. The media and paparazzi, the purveyors of so-called truth (lol), in their continuous efforts to sell the tabloid rags and be listened to by the audience, had, through false headlines, bad cartoons, bad jokes, etc., humiliated, insulted, insinuated, assumed many terrible things about Michael Jackson. A good example would be M.B. (I won't spell his name but we all know), in his famous t.v. interview with Michael, being tremendously guilty of turning things around and being highly insensitive to someone who only has given love and wanted love in return. How could someone, who has spent decades entertaining and helping other people, live and emotionally survive the torment the media and paparazzi have done to him? I can't imagine how much pepto and tums MJ must have consumed in dealing with those bad forces who have tried to take him down, one way or another.I wish I could hold MJ in my arms and take away all the pain (emotional and physical) that he has endured and protect him forever. Then comes one terrible day, June 25th, 2009, a day no one will forget. During that week of MJ's 'death', the media jumps all over the story and all of a sudden, to them, he's a legend, a great entertainer,etc.-things that his true fans and friends have known for years. Shame on the media! Shame on the paparazzi! But, what I, and other people noticed, was that many people, of all walks of life, upon hearing the tragic news, came together and began to mourn. Did the media and pap. bother to cover that? The uniting of people by the loss one invidual? hmmmm No, that would be good news, and according to them, good news doesn't sell. Ha! They are true schmucks in every sense of the word. This is all I have to say on this for now. May God bless you all and the Jackson family. Michael Jackson forever...Peace, L.O.V.E. and happiness...
